The California Coastal Commission is meeting on 11/6/2025 to consider mitigation for the extended operation of the Diablo Canyon Power Plant from 2025-2030. Please tell the Commission to protect ALL Diablo Canyon Lands, as a bare minimum for the significant environmental impacts resulting from extended operations.
Please attend (by zoom or in person in Sacramento, CA) the Coastal Commission meeting on Thursday, November 6, 2025 and ask the Commissioners to support this mitigation package: (1) conservation easements on all of North Ranch and South Ranch; (2) protection of Wild Cherry Canyon; (3) an endowment to manage all proposed public access trails; and (4) require this mitigation package NOW to issue permits under state and federal law for Diablo's extension until 2030.
Be sure to sign up NOW to make your public comments on 11/6/25! You can do so by visiting here:

Senator John Laird, and MANY others, have written powerful letters to the California Coastal Commission in support of conserving all Diablo Canyon Lands. It's too late to submit written comments, but you can still provide oral comments at the meeting (see above for details). For ideas on what to say, please see Senator Laird's letter, here: https://sd17.senate.ca.gov/news/pges-application-extended-operation-diablo-canyon-power-plant-coastal-development-permit-and
